The Traxxas TRX4 / TRX6 has been one of the most popular crawlers on the RC market for many years. The cars are roughly on a 1:10 scale and are built to be incredibly sturdy. For this reason, it has a sizeable fan base. The vehicles are RTR – so just unpack, switch on and have fun. All you need is a battery and a suitable charger. Sounds too good to be true? Well, like every coin, this one has two sides too.
On the one hand, there are the specific Traxxas connectors for connecting the battery and the associated problems with third-party chargers; on the other, there’s the utterly cryptic way of making adjustments in the remote control’s sub-settings. But more on that later.

‘Out of the box’, you get a really lovely model that does its job reliably and will give you a great deal of pleasure.

The TRX4 is essentially available in two versions: the older ones, where the body is attached using the typical Karoclips, and the newer version, where the body is attached using a clipless system

Important note:
On models that have just been unpacked, the steering servos run right up to the stops on the axle, which can place a very heavy strain on the servo electronics. You should limit the stops in the sub-menu (see the manual for details) or purchase the BT module directly.
